From the warm welcome from Jude/Judy, I settled in quickly. From the Front Reception desk to the restaurant staff, I was very well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Jude even helped me out, an hour before opening & on her day off!!!! It had all the amenities I needed & is THE perfect location & so central. You can walk 10-15 mins to anywhere: a supermarket, the VBD, cafes & great restaurants & tourist places of interest. The laundry service was also handy. The information sheets given to me on arrival was very handy. The restaurant quality of food & personal, knowledgeable service was a treat!! I hope Louis gains more recognition for his skill in the wider Launceston area. A lot of character & old world charm in this hotel.👍🏼

Manager/receptionist was the bomb! Super lovely and made the experience top notch. Was unfortunate that the hot water wasn’t available but these things happen. The manager made up for it! She had to put up with my sneaky trips to the reception to pinch some minties and caramel lollies 😅😆😆🤣 she’s super friendly, just awesome! The restaurant down stairs looked amazing but unfortunately we didn’t have time to dine. Lots of amazing reviews though! It’s very convenient location-wise. Most places we wanted to go to we just walked which took the hassle of parking out.

Great value hotel in a great location. We were there with our two young kids (3.5 and 1.5) and being close to the big park was helpful (they have Japanese Macaque's, though check the 'opening' times to avoid disappointment). The room we had was plenty big enough and parking is also convenient, although we mainly used the stay as a base for day-trips. We didn't eat at the restaurant so can't comment, but there are plenty of food options nearby (try the Bread+Butter Bakery around the corner).

This was a lovely renovated historic complex with beautiful decor. James was very courteous and helpful. There was free parking and our room had its own allotted space right at the front door (pro tip : ask for Room 48!). The rooms were spacious with lots of thoughtful touches, such as a coffee machine, felt around the front door to help soundproof, ease of check in and check out. There was a spa in the large bathroom. The Commercial hotel just a block away was handy for pub food.

Check in was quick and the staff (Heather) was super friendly and helpful. Our DVD player in the room wasn't working. When reception was contacted, they had a new one in our room within 5 minutes. The spa bath was perfect and fit two large adults. The bed was super comfy and there was a choice of pillows. I can't recommend the staff and room highly enough. There is plenty of off street parking. This is the second time we have stayed here, and we will be back!
